The Subculture nightclub in Leeds

Subculture Leeds

66 Merrion Street
Leeds
LS2 8LW

Leeds' most diverse alternative nightclub, thesubculture, lives in the Merrion Centre in the shell of the old Bassment nightclub. They opened mid September 2006 with the remit of providing a home for many of the nights left in limbo by the closure of Bar Phono and the Bassment at Xmas 2005 and other new nights missing from the Leeds alternative scene.

Their regular nights include long-running favourites Friday Flock and Juvenile Hall, as well as new nights such as Moustache, Idioteque, Yeah! Right! and Leeds' first regular burlesque night, The Slippery Belle. They aim to provide a comprehensive selection of alternative music styles and a wide variety of nights. Please take a look at their schedule to see what's coming up.

As well as regular nights they also host one-off nights and gigs and are available for private hire on nights when they are not already booked.
