The Wendy House club night in Leeds

The Wendy House is a regular monthly Alternative event at Leeds University Union's 1300 capacity, state of the art, 2 floor venue, recently voted the best University venue in the UK.

There's plenty of fluffy, bouncy, lovely people travelling from all over the UK. There's often lots of dressing up!

They feature:

• a hyper-modern venue with a state of the art massive sound system,
• computer controlled lighting rig and 12 foot video screen,
• 3 floors of fun and 3 University bars at student prices,
• The best Darker Alternative from the 80s onwards.

They are currently the biggest night of it's kind in the North of England and continue to grow.


The music policy is pretty straight-forward. It's not really a Goth night; the team running it never intended it to be just that. On Floor 1 they play out the best Alternative music from the 80's onwards, all with a dark and occasionally ironic slant on it. They run a very fun night to be at, with a huge friendly crowd and a massive party atmosphere.

Upstairs on Floor 2 they have the mutate room, see the dedicated site for details: www.mutate.info . They cater for popular Industrial but also play a wide range of hard trance, electroclash, breaks, beats and the best in underground electronic music.
